Received a netspend visa as a Christmas gift (12/16), it's June(2017) and I think it may finally be activated after the $5 per month inactivity fee. I was told I would need to send a copy of my social security card along with 2 other forms of ID in order to activate it.
If anyone short of Jesus asks for this amount of personal info they are SOL. Not happening. How can they sell prepaid visa gift cards at your local Wal-Mart, CVS, etc and then require you to submit enough personal info to ruin you in order to activate it?
This is theft at the very least. I've just googled this company and found that there's a gaggle of negative reviews on this company.
Product or Service Mentioned: Netspend Prepaid Card Activation.
Reason of review: Poor customer service.
