after filing my tax refund through turbotax this year, they gave me the option of the netspend card, marketing the card by proclaiming that you could get your refund sooner. Considering that it was turbotax, a website that I have used and trusted, I went with this option and I wish I would have been of the wiser.

I contacted a CSR at netspend after it had been past the alotted time frame in which the netspend card was to be recieved and they told me that they would send a new card but the old card could still be there within the next few days. A week later and still no card. I contact them today and ended up talking to 4 different people, 3 of which gave me the runaround, misleading information, or apparently were to incompetent to even have the knowledge of why the first card wasn't recieved. I then talk to someone who was a little bit more helpful and told me that the card was sent to the wrong address.

I start inquiring into the company a little bit because something seems off and what do I find to my dismay? many many many complaints from consumers exactly like this one.I was counting on my tax refund to help me move to another state for a job opportunity,I am so angry I could cry.

After reading peoples complaints I have set myself up for the possibility that I may have to go through even more absolute bull from this company. I really do not know how some people sleep at night and I really don't understand how this company is getting away with this.

Netspend Don't you dare give me an automated apology, instead maybe train your company on the importance of humanity and ethics.

Monetary Loss: $1100.

Its been 2 weeks since you stoled my refund Netspend and claimed you were sending it back to the IRS , so where is it?????

ANN you are full of ***! If the CSR would stay off the internet trying to make the company look better they may get money back to the customers.

Turbo Tax shouldn't recommind company like this. I would advise you to complain on every single site you see, NETSPEND SAY THEY ARE PROTECTING YOUR MONEY BS WE DON'T NEED YOU TO PROTECT OUR MONEY.

I TALKED TO THE IRS AND THEY SAID THEY ALREADY SENT THE MONEY AND ALREADY CHECKED THE TAX PAYER, THEY ALSO SAID THEY WOULD NEVER HAVE RELEASED THE MONEY IF OUR INFORMATION DIDN'T MATCH UP.IRS IS MUCH BIGGER THAN NETSPEND. QUIT TRYING TO ACT LIKE YOU ARE ABOVE THE IRS..

A NetSpend Premier Visa Card is subject to ID verification and approval by NetSpend, and TurboTax does not have insight into the approval process, nor can TurboTax reverse a decision.

If you do not have a bank account that can be used for direct deposit, you can choose to receive your refund by check. Otherwise, there are several types of prepaid credit/debit cards on the market. What I can recommend is acquiring one of these and you can then have your refund deposited there. It is a solution that you can take advantage of.

Customer service is very important to your company because you charge 50 cents each time we call so your slowly eating away our refunds , over 7,000 for me , well it was untill you blocked the card and even blocked me from seeing my amount online , I want my money , it doesnt belong to netspend , it belongs to me!!

They did the same thing to me. I faxed the info even found a guy online who "WAS" helpful and said it was going to be unblocked today.Guess what they unblocked it and before I could get to the bank they blocked it again, They say they closed the acct and I would get a check in 20 days.

THIS IS MONEY THE IRS SENT.IF THE IRS CHECKED ME OUT WHY WOULD THIS *** COMPANY FEEL LIKE THEY ARE BIGGER THAN THE IRS. Nobody knows English they all say the same thing and they lie. I've found the CEO's email.

Someone else got a check and tried to cash it and it was insufficient funds. Ponzi scam??
