I bought prepaid netspend card at Giant to give as a gift to a friend and the card never made to her home. I called customer service to see what I can do and provided my gift activation receipt number with last 4 digit of the card number but lady says, it it's lost there is nothing they can do. they have $100 dollars and will not refund. I filed a dispute and they tell me i have to wait 18 days before they can tell me anything. I have been a customer for over ten years and feel like they dont care about the mess this has caused in my life this month. Because it is taking so long my electric was shut off for four days till i could get the money to pay it. Had they released my money in a timely maner this would not have happened. While in the hospital (ICU), for a total of 72 days, my card was accessed and used my a gaming company for a total of $372.00! I am a63 year old female with no interests in online gaming. I returned an item at an electronics store. Instead of opting for cash refund I decided to get the refund sent to my netspend card instead. Big Mistake. Money showed up next day on card and account was automatically locked . Called and said I needed to take a picture and show them the receipt of the refund LMFAO. I won't be doing business with Netspend. Sorry only time you need to lock my account is when the card is reported lost or stolen.... Read more

Customer service is horrible I can NEVER get someone who speaks proper English when I ask for a supervisor I get put on hold for 30+ minutes or simply hung up on. I am missing 352.47 from my account and NO ONE WILL HELP ME

I got my card at a local Walmart on Friday. I was excited to get my little sis a present for her birthday, so I went on to activate my card so I can order it. As I activated my account, it said I should contact CS, which is exactly what I did and they asked me for my personal info. I game them my passport, visa, school statement and my I-20 as they seemed like a legit company. Usually they answered e mails in no time, but now it's been 6 hours... Read more

I would like to join as well Net spend locked my account and could not a explanation for why they did this now they are asking for documents which im very nervous about doing that I dont trust them they have been nothing but trouble for me!

was given a netspend card as a gift card with 100.00 as a Christmas gift. The person who gave it bought several "Gift Cards" and gave as Christmas gifts. Now, trying to spend seems impossible. We bought 2 - 500 $ gift cards for son and family. Cannot believe they charge for each purchase even after we paid $3.95 at the store to activate the card !!! I called their "Customer Service" and spoke to a Cherie who was in India Im sure . They had also asked my son for his SSN when he called re: the fees. There is no reason for them to get that information. I dont know what kind of company this is, but they need to be closed down... and fast.... Read more
