First is for my boyfriend, he went to request a new card and it said no fee under it (that would mean free correct?) well after he finished his account was charged 5.95 for a new card... What part of that was no fee? My issue I'm not sure if turbotax is to blame or netspend, but when doing my direct deposit it said if I used the same card that I received last year that I would receive a $5 credit which I never received. Every year i have the same problem i received an email saying my card was blocked im still waiting for my 2015 tax refund these people are the worst calling them is a wast of time they give me the run around it seems like they dont want to deal with me turbo tax blamed netspend i called netspend they blamed the irs i called the irs they tell me they have nothing to do my card being blocked i new it was netspend the whole time i should have... I bought a Netspend prepaid card to pay for items online, I put 200 dollars into the card and the activation went smoothly. The problem came when I wanted to pay for my college application fees, I put in all of the correct information on my card; however it was declined. Netspend customer service??? More like netspend complemantary ruining your day I now know why there are so many po'ed customers (or former) I have been with them over 8 years and never had a hitch. Now that looking at this i think i will cancel my new card and i just figured this i went to walmart and they took 3.75 JUST FOR SERVICE i thought i had add 10 more when only i had 6.25 all this time i rarely even check my account until 1 day i checked my account i have only been a member for just 2 months until now. I recently started my new job , I used my Netspend account for direct deposit. They said that I will receive my funds 2 days before. When I called Netspend they said that they can't see my direct deposit posted but my employer has already sent it off. Most other banks can see your direct deposit pending and grab it , so why can't Netspend ? Is it because this is my first time deposit and I'll have to wait till my actual pay day ? Please help me... I went to netspend.com to activate my card but i only got through the first step. When I clicked on continue it says something went wrong. In order to complete the account activation, we need a few additional details. Please call customer service and we will help you complete the process. JOIN CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT!!$1500 was placed on hold by a vacation rental company. The funds were never withdrawn and netspend refuses to give the money back. I have had several letters from the merchant emailed and faxed stating that they release the funds but NetSpend still has not released the funds. I recently received a loan that was deposited directly onto a NetSpend card and available for immediate use. When I called to activate the card I was transferred to customer service, where I was instructed that I needed to submit documents to verify my identity because 1) there was a negative balance for closed card ending in 9231 2) there has been a history of suspicious activity or fraud alerts on account 9231. I HATE NETSPEND!! Do not buy this card! They will steal your money! I loaded $100 dollars to the card and tried to activate it, and they blocked my card and told me to call customer service! I called customer service, it tells me the office is closed until 8am... it's now 9am.. and it's still closed!! Don't buy from them EVER!! Read more
